Sailing St Lucia

one of the most beautiful tropical islands in the Caribbean sea is a must. It is a Windward island of the Lesser Antilles. Martinique is to the North, St Vincent is to the South and Barbados to the East. St Lucia is 14 miles wide and 27 miles long. The Atlantic ocean washes the eastern beaches and the west coast is lapped by the warm, calm Caribbean Sea.

St Lucia is a friendly island with many small villages, large banana plantations and beautiful rainforests. The island has a wide range of tropical fruits growing on the trees, Cocoa, Mango, Papaya, Star Fruit, Grapefruit, Coconuts to name a few.

There are lots of activities to do on St Lucia, Sailing, Snorkeling and scuba diving the islands coral reefs, Trekking in the rainforests looking for the Parrots. There are many great beaches and bays with water sports. There are also a lot of excellent facilities on the Island for Tennis, Golf and even zip-lining!

The Weather


St Lucia enjoys a tropical climate throughout the year, making it an all year-round holiday destination.
The average daily temperature is around 80F / 27C, with temperatures very similar all year round.
Plants flower 365 days a year and trees don't tend to loose their leaves, we are a country where many have only seen ice or snow on television.

December to May is the dry season with day temperatures of 75 to 90F / 24 to 32C and night temperatures in the 68 to 81F / 20 to 27C.

The trade winds provide a cooling breeze all year-round

June - November is wetter, with short but intense showers.

June to August daytime temperatures can reach 95F / 35C.

From August to October tropical storms can build up out in the Atlantic. These usually avoid St Lucia only reaching hurricane force as they head up towards the United States.

A third of the island is rainforest and gets much more rain than the coastal resorts.
